Submission notes

Preserved research report. Consult the final study for current claims.

Preserved revision-stage report. Some manuscript pointers and version labels reflect an earlier writing stage. Use the current study and research record for the final interpretation.

Submission context and remaining author decisions

The revised scientific material is prepared locally; nothing has been submitted or sent to reviewers, chairs, or coauthors.

The official DCASE 2026 author instructions, consulted on September 20, 2026, require the supplied template and at most five pages, with the fifth containing only references. The revised manuscript uses the official template. The final PDF contains five pages, with scientific content on pages one to four and references only on page five. All planned experiments and rendered-layout checks are complete.

The instructions also state that the title and abstract should not change after abstract submission. The revision preserves the submitted title and three-author list but necessarily revises the abstract because the corrected experiments do not support the original numerical claims. The appropriate handling depends on whether this is a camera-ready revision, rebuttal, or later resubmission; that context has not yet been confirmed. Do not retain an inaccurate abstract merely to avoid a procedural change. The authors should resolve the applicable submission procedure before uploading a materially changed manuscript.

The original report and conference manuscript were not the same source. reports_v3/source_comparison.md explains the choice of canonical revised source. Authorship was preserved from the conference manuscript rather than inferred from the two-author report.

The accompanying complete experiment report is a local research artifact. Its creation does not imply that the venue accepts extra supplementary pages or files.
